I can't believe that it's been so long since I've even been on here.  My life has been wrapped up in a lot of things lately and I have actually been doing a little bit of art. Spending more time with my "honey" as his work slows down (due to the economy) and we've been re-connecting somewhat.  Also enjoying having my daughter and granddaughter over more.  It's always a pleasure to have them come over for "no reason" and just hang out and visit.  I know there will come a time when my granddaughter will spend less & less time here - that's only natural as she enters her teen years, but I'm gonna enjoy it while I can. The holidays are upon us and for the last few years you can feel something is missing.  I know what it is and every year it makes a bigger hole.  Missing my Mom & Dad... missing my niece...missing a dear friend (daughter's father-in-law)... The older I get the more lonely it feels...those souls fill our lives with the stuff we need and every time we lose one, it leaves an emptiness that's never replaced. For those of you who've not lost a loved one or friend - cherish the time you have with them...if you have experienced loss... I'm sorry. Take care

Summer is closing soon and I am already missing it.  I will miss having my granddaughter over 2 or 3 times a week.  I will miss the fun and art/craft projects we have worked on.  I will miss her silliness and great sense of humor.  She's almost 11 and is no longer a kid - she's a young lady and will be defining herself more and more.  Going into the 5th grade and gathering her friends around her, visiting more and having sleep-overs and parties and all the things you do at that age.  Grandma will slip further and further away as far as a playmate, but will always be there, in the background, ready to help in any way needed.  I know she loves
