Wow. Where did Summer go? It's been a rough couple of weeks here. Our business computer (and speakers) went out and everything had to be replaced. We did manage to get the data saved to an external drive so we didn't loose anything except the time it took to do all this and some $ from our pockets.

This was AFTER our truck got flooded. One of our large tractors, 2 flatbeds and a gooseneck trailer were under water last week because of the flooding from the Missouri river. The trailers seem to be fine. A good washing and airing took care of them. BUT, the tractor is ruined! Thank goodness it's paid for, and we are going to get have someone give us a price to clean it up. It stinks so bad due to the sewers getting flooded. The better half was in Virginia when the water came up and we got a friend to move his good tractor and the dry van to a safe location.

I'm feeling good because I have a large art project that will keep me busy for a while and help with the flood/computer expenses. Anyway, I'm thankful it was only a truck and not my home like so many other people had to deal with. I cannot imagine how I would deal with something like that...( a match maybe? )
